Ingalsinde f. An elongation of Old Icelandic ing(i), of uncertain origin but perhaps identical with the god name Ing or Yngvi, also of uncertain origin + Old Saxon swīth, Gothic swinþs from Proto-Germanic *swinþaz 'strong'.
