Lucy f. Latin lucia 'light'.

The name of a 3rd-4th C martyr who was one of the eight women, along with Mary, commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass, which contributed to the popularity of the name in the Middle Ages.

While sometimes considered to be a feminine form of Luke, the names are in fact unrelated.
